Why Texas, why now

Four things about this state that decide whether the business works

Written for the person holding the drill, not the homeowner reading the brochure.

Permanent roofline lighting designed into the eave of a family home at dusk Roofline & eave
01

Permanent Outdoor Lighting for the Way Texas Actually Builds

There is no single Texas roofline. You'll quote Hill Country limestone with deep timber overhangs one week and a Collin County new-build in brick and Hardie the next, then a raised coastal house outside Houston and a metal-roofed ranch two hours west of nothing. Most lighting systems make you re-learn the job on every one of them.

BlueHopper's tracks tuck into the eave and fascia line and disappear in daylight — no clips, no seasonal tangle, no clumsy run across the front of a house someone just paid $600,000 for. The mounting method carries across every one of those roof types, so your crew learns it once.

What that means for you: one quoting method — linear foot — on every property type in the state, and a crew that gets faster with each job instead of starting over.

Where You'll Install Across Texas

Territories are open right through the Texas Triangle — Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio — and in the collar counties doing the real growing: Collin, Denton, Kaufman, Parker, Fort Bend, Williamson, Comal. Just as open are the markets that get skipped entirely: Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland–Odessa, El Paso, Tyler–Longview, Corpus Christi and the Rio Grande Valley.

The work isn't only residential rooflines either. Restaurant patios, car dealerships, HOA entrances, hotel frontage, municipal buildings and the retail going up around every new town center are all the same install, at four to ten times the linear footage.

What that means for you: whichever ZIP you're in, the scope from us is identical — design support, certified training, product and ongoing back-up. Territory is checked per ZIP, so it's worth finding out where yours stands before someone else asks.

Built for a State That Never Really Slows Down

Texas gives a homeowner more reasons to turn the lights on than almost anywhere else. Burnt orange or maroon on game day. Red, white and blue from Memorial Day through the Fourth. Fiesta in San Antonio, rodeo season in Houston, Halloween through New Year's in one uninterrupted run — then warm white on an ordinary Tuesday in March, scheduled to come on at sunset by itself.

Every one of those is a scene in the app, not a callback for you. And because winters here are short, the patio, the pool and the porch stay in use twelve months a year — so the lighting above them never becomes decoration that gets packed away.

What that means for you: you stop selling a service that gets taken down and start selling a permanent improvement to the house. Different objection, different price point, and the customer keeps calling you to add zones.

Weatherproofed for Texas, Installed by People Who Know It

The conditions that punish every roofline in this state — 100-degree summers, North Texas hail in spring, Gulf humidity, West Texas wind and relentless UV — are exactly what these systems are engineered to shrug off, year after year, without fading or sagging.

That matters to you more than it does to the homeowner. A callback in August costs you a truck roll, a crew hour and the margin on the job. Product that survives its first summer is the difference between a referral and a warranty claim. Every install is backed by the smart-lighting platform trusted by more than 500 clients nationwide — and by a company headquartered on Preston Road in Dallas, not three time zones away.

What that means for you: fewer callbacks, protected margin, and a supplier in your own time zone when something needs an answer on a Friday afternoon.

What installers are saying

Before you ask

Frequently asked questions

No. BlueHopper's training programs are built so that even first-time installers get up to speed quickly. Training is hands-on — webinars, product documentation and direct support from the MeshTek team — covering installation, configuration and troubleshooting.

There is no fixed price — you quote it. Final pricing depends on total roofline footage, the number of lighting zones, power and signal-extension requirements, building height, complex peaks and angles, installation access, lift requirements and regional labour costs. A single-storey ranch and a two-storey with complex peaks are very different jobs, and your local labour market moves the number again. Free design support helps you scope each property before you put a number on it.

No. BlueHopper Lighting materials can only be purchased and installed by a Certified BlueHopper Installer. There is no retail shelf and no online cart undercutting the quote you just wrote — which is the whole point of a certified channel.

The base and lid are designed to withstand sun, rain and snow for up to 20 years, and the LEDs are tested for 50,000 hours of life. Products are IP65 or IP67 rated depending on the product, FCC and IC certified, and UV stabilised; power supplies meet UL/ETL, CE and IP65 standards. Warranty coverage is included — your BlueHopper contact will walk you through the current terms.

The control system is plug-and-play and described as simple to install, with minimal setup time. A licensed electrician is only needed where a new outlet or dedicated circuit has to be added — always check your local code requirements.

Yes. BlueHopper provides demo kits, sample lighting products and marketing materials so you can show the system to a prospect on the driveway instead of describing it. Which kit suits you depends on whether you sell roofline, landscape or both — that's a conversation on the call.

Customisable marketing assets — brochures, digital flyers, video demos and co-branded content you can run locally — plus installation referrals from BlueHopper. Residential customers can also access financing, so price objections are less likely to end the conversation.

Yes. As a certified installer you provide ongoing maintenance, add new lighting zones and push over-the-air updates. The Installer app dashboard lets you organise and manage multiple client installations, lighting groups and settings remotely.

Residential homes, commercial businesses — restaurants, storefronts and dealerships; Chick-fil-A, Nebraska Furniture Mart and Hula Hut are all on the platform — and municipal work. The catalogue runs to 30+ product ranges: roofline and soffit, fence, landscape, pool cage, decorative, wall washers, floods, timers and controllers.

Through the BlueHopper app on iOS or Android — colours, effects, scenes, brightness, zones, music sync and scheduling, including year-long calendar events set once and forgotten. There is also a BLE remote for quick manual control, and voice control through the Talk To Your Lights feature. That app is a large part of why these jobs get referred.
